AFRICAN COUNCIL FOR COMMUNICATION EDUCATION (ACCE) CONFERENCE

INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS

1. Conference Venue

The African Council for Communication Education (ACCE) Conference will take place in Accra Ghana from August 11 – 13, 2009. The Conference venue is the Centre for African Wetlands located on the campus of the University of Ghana, Legon. (The University of Ghana is about 15 minutes drive from the Accra Airport).

2. Conference Registration

All participants are expected to register for the Conference.

The registration fees are as follows:

General Participants: US$150

Students: US$50

Payment of registration fees will be done on site on the opening day of the Conference.

With the payment of the Conference registration fee, participants will be entitled to the following contained in the sponsorship cover provided as a Conference Package:

· Buffet Lunch during conference meeting days: 11^th – 13^th August, 2009

· Welcome Cocktail Reception and opening artistic programme

· Official Conference Dinner

· Main conference plenary, panel and other special sessions

· Conference refreshment breaks

· Free Bus transportation to conference events

· Free Bus shuttles from hotels and other accommodation units to conference venue and back (Bus Schedules to be announced)

· Airport transfers to and from Hotels and other accommodation units

3. Accommodation

The complete list of recommended hotels and other accommodation units is indicated below. All the recommended accommodation units are within 10 – 15 minutes’ drive from the main Conference venue. Some are within walking distance.

To benefit from the preferential rates negotiated for the conference, participants are advised to indicate their choice of hotel and make their room reservations by email directly with the Conference Event Manager
